OASIS SPORTS

Our Mission

We are volunteers and we love badminton, and we want to inspire and develop players.

Badminton is an indoor sport which helps to use most of the reflexes and is best for the brain and body. Like any sport it needs commitment, continuous practice and patience.

Question 1. What is a coaching session?

Answer 1. We have already established 7 years back in Basingstoke and any references are more than welcome to reach to old/current students. We have approx 140+ students across places and counting.Coaching session is an instructor led program with focus on technical skill and tactics for badminton.

Question 2. What Does the session look like?

Answer 2. Contains three parts in two hour- Warm up 10 mins, Instructor led Techniques learning and practice 1 hour 10 mins, games 35 mins and cool down and questions - 5 mins to catch up on what has been learnt and if kids understood each before leaving hall. Similar if 1 hours appropriately divided time in ratio.

Question 3. What if I miss a lesson, can I cover up in another place?

Answer 3. We have several options, if you are a part of annual membership, this is allowed where any session can be attended with prior permission. If term based (explore) then it would be missed and extra 1:1 lesson or group crash course arranged can be purchased with fees relevant for that session.

Question 4. Can we only get practice sessions and no coaching sessions?

Answer 4. No, currently we are helping our kids who are taking sessions to provide them a place. In the near future we may open if a place is available.

Question 5. What is the fee structure?

Answer 5. All fees will be given based on day/venue selection.

Question 6. How many kids will be working together in a group.

Answer 6. We have experience, training from Badminton England and skill set to handle a large group, We try to restrict kids based on coach 1:6 court basis or keep lower than this ratio. There are other small group options or 1:1 is available please search based on the day and place however it is NOT guaranteed, we work on aiming professional coaching

Question 7. What I have to bring and what will be provided and any help on racquets and shoes?

Please bring your own racket, shoes, water or water bottle and a lot of energy. Please see attached link for kids Badminton Rackets choices. Answer 9. We are investing our time to focus on building a team therefore we are not looking out of the current list provided. Since we are little over 180 members and to sustain we need 30 and max 35. If there is availability we shall surely let the team know from time to time.

Question 10. Can I volunteer or how to be part of a team?

Answer 10. We would love to include members in our core team and do reach out to one of the core team members.

Question 11. Is this program only for kids or for adults as well?

Answer 11. This program is for all ages, we shall group accordingly to help them out. Kids learn faster, energy and agility. For adults it may be unlearning some bad habits…..We are looking to help all ages and different venue and time.

Question 12. What if my kid didn't want to try out further?

Answer 12. We understand the situation changes and some kids enjoy badminton and some other sports. We encourage kids to opt for any sport. We refund whole amount on day 1 if didn't like to pursue any advance paid. Post 2nd class onwards NO REFUNDS since we have to block the hall and space is blocked for term.
